In 2022, we achieved the first place in Tyrol for the second time within a few years, a testament to the dedication of our team.
Operations Manager - Edi
Edi is a central pillar of our establishment, from the very beginning. After gaining experience in upscale hospitality, he returned to East Tyrol to build "Outside" together with Agnes & Sepp. He oversees all operational matters in the house and, notably, as a certified sommelier, curates our exquisite wine selection.
CEO - Daniel
Daniel grew up in this hotel. After completing his training, he gained valuable experience in operational hotel management, strategic tourism consulting, and international hotel development. Since 2012, he has actively shaped the business through a new strategic concept, renovation measures, and continuous marketing efforts. In the spring of 2023, he finally took over the business from his parents, Agnes and Sepp.
Head Chef - Radenko
Radenko is responsible for our kitchen. He came to Matrei during the Bosnian War and has been working for Daniel's grandparents. Through his tireless dedication, he has evolved into an outstanding chef.
Senior Hosts - Agnes & Sepp
Agnes and Sepp built up our business and are now enjoying a well-deserved retirement. Nevertheless, they remain passionate hosts and are often found in the hotel.
Marketing & Personal - Alessa
As a native of Salzburg, Alessa took a few exciting detours after her studies and job in Innsbruck – from the Canary Islands to Vienna and finally to Australia. In the summer of 2024, she made her way to East Tyrol. With experience in tourism and sports marketing, as well as team leadership at the Destination Management Organisation of Tyrol, she is now responsible for everything related to personnel and marketing at our company.
