CEO - Daniel
Daniel grew up in this family business. After completing his training, he gained valuable experience in operational hotel management, strategic tourism consulting, and international hotel development. Since 2012, he has actively shaped the business through a new strategic concept, renovation projects, and continuous marketing. In spring 2023, he took over the business from his parents, Agnes and Sepp.

Restaurant & Operations Manager - Edi
Edi has been a central pillar of our house from the very beginning. After gaining experience in upscale hospitality, he returned to East Tyrol to build "Outside" together with Agnes & Sepp. He is responsible for operational matters throughout the house, above all managing the restaurant, and as a certified wine sommelier, ensures an outstanding wine experience for our guests with passion and expertise.

Head Chef - Sascha
As head chef, Sascha shapes our kitchen with a modern, precise style: fermentation, creative touches, and hearty dishes reinterpreted. Already as sous chef, he helped shape and develop the kitchen in close collaboration with Radenko – his move into the head chef role is one built on trust. Sascha brings years of experience as a head chef and as a business owner. What guides him is the belief that good food comes from the region – with producers we know by name.

Sous Chef - Radenko
Radenko came to Matrei during the Bosnian War – and stayed. He worked for Daniel Ganzer's grandparents early on, learned, grew, and became one of the finest chefs in his field, honored with three times three Falstaff forks. For years, he led our kitchen as head chef before voluntarily passing the torch to his trusted colleague Sascha. Today, Radenko supports the kitchen team as sous chef with his years of experience and calm, dependable manner.

Senior Hosts - Agnes & Sepp
Agnes and Sepp built our business and now enjoy their well-earned retirement. Yet they remain passionate hosts and can still be found around the hotel from time to time – much to our delight! Sepp also serves as our hiking guide, leading guests to his favorite places of power in East Tyrol.

Marketing & HR - Alessa
Born in Salzburg, Alessa took a few exciting detours after her studies and a job in Innsbruck – from the Canary Islands to Vienna and all the way to Australia. In summer 2024, she finally found her way to East Tyrol. With experience in tourism and sports marketing, as well as team leadership at the Tyrol Tourism Board, she is now responsible for everything related to HR and marketing at our hotel.
